Introduction

EPCIE8XRDCA01A is External PCIe (Two iPass x4 38pin compatible) to PCIe x8 Gen 3 Active (Redriver with Linear Equalization) Cable Adapter Card, it requires no additional software or drivers to operate.
Designed to overcome the limited PCIe connectivity of most desktop computers, the EPCIE8XRDCA01A can be quickly and easily set up for external expansion.
EPCIE8XRDCA01A provides programmable Linear Equalization, Output Swing and Flat Gain by pin strapping easily. The programmable settings can be applied easily via DIP Switch. EPCIE8XRDCA01A offers fully Linear Transfer function to fully comply with all PCIe 3 Link Training signals.
The integrated equalization circuitry provides flexibility with signal integrity of the PCI Express signal before the Redriver, whereas the integrated Flat Gain circuitry provides flexibility with signal integrity of the PCI Express signal after the Redriver.
The PCI-Express Bifurcation mode allows users to take advantage of a single PCI-Express x8 slot, through the use of EPCIE8XRDCA01A, and transform their PCI-Express slot into two 4-Lane External PCIe cable port mode (x4, x4). Please be noted that your mainboard needs to have PCIe bifurcation mode (x4, x4) support.
