Introduction

The S3-PCIE1XG210 is 2-port SATA III (6 Gbps) to PCI Express x1 Gen2 Host Card .

The S3-PCIE1XG210 provides two 6 Gbps SATA ports.

The S3-PCIE1XG210, x1 PCI Express to two ports of Serial ATA, enables Serial ATA PHY up to 6Gbps high speed interface, following Serial ATA Revision 3.0 specification.

  • Supports communication speed of 2.5 Gbps and 5.0 Gbps
  • Supports AHCI or IDE programming interface registers for the SATA controller.

  • Supports communication speeds of 6.0 Gbps, 3.0 Gbps, and 1.5 Gbps.

  • Supports Native Command Queuing (NCQ).
  • Supports Port Multiplier FIS based switching or command based switching. (Native drivers isn't supported)
  • Only supports one SATA Port multiplier.

Note: For the best performance (5.0 Gbps), S3-PCIE1XG210 should be installed in a PCIe Gen 2 compliant slot in the host computer.  Most computers have PCIe Gen 2 (5.0 Gbps) throughput on x8 or x16 slots. A PCIe Gen 1 compliant slot reaches up to 2.5 Gbps throughput.
