Introduction

PCIEX16D01 is PCIe x16 Expansion Docking Board.

Requires an target adapter card in the host interface card slot. The PCIe x16 2-slot Docking Board supports up to a PCIe x1/ x4/ x8/ x16 add-in Card.

  • Upstream (J2): For Target cable adapter
    • PCIe x16 Slot PCI-E 4.0 SMT Type
  • Downstream (J1): Support PCIe x1/ PCIe x4/ PCIe x8/ PCIex16 Add-on Card
    • PCIe x16 Slot PCI-E 4.0 SMT Type
      • The REFCLK could be from either Target Cable Adapter or on-board Clock Generator CFC (100MHz)
  • Power Connector: ATX 24-Pin Power Connector
  • Fan Power Connector (12V Output):
    • JST compatible wafer 2pin (pitch=2.0mm) connector
    • JST compatible wafer 3pin (pitch=2.54mm) connector
  • Power ON Connector: JST compatible wafer 2pin (pitch=2.5mm) connector
    • Allows the upstream host to turn on the downstream sub-system's power. 
    • For auto-switch you may use a cable to join both PCIEX16D01 and Target cable adapter Power ON Connectors

    • Provide PWR ON connector 

PCIe x8

  • EPCIE8XRDCA03A---External PCI Express (SFF-8644 1x2) to PCIe x8 Gen 3 Active (Redriver with Linear Equalization) Cable Adapter Card
    • Provide PWR ON connector

PCIe x16

Note: This is dual clock application so the Host Cable Adapter must be PCIe Packet Switch type.
